About Otty

Otty is a period tracker built for couples that works just as well solo. If you track your own cycle, you get the full toolkit on your own: phase mapping, quick daily check-ins, symptom patterns, and a personal comfort kit. If you track your partner's, you get specific phase-aware tips so you stop guessing what helps. If you pair up, everything connects, and check-ins, comfort preferences, love notes, and nudges reach the right person at the right time.

No lectures, no clinical charts, no daily chores. Just warm, witty help from a ridiculous little otter who wants you both to be happy.

How Otty started

Otty started with a phone call. The founder was catching up with his girlfriend when he noticed her energy was a little different that day. She mentioned her period was starting, and they ended up talking honestly about what those weeks actually feel like, and how much of that he had never seen from the outside. One thought stuck with him afterward:

"What if I knew what she was going through before the day even started?"

That question became the whole product. Most partners want to show up. They want to comfort, to understand, to get it right. What they are missing is rarely care; it is context. So Otty puts the context on their phone: the phase their person is in today and one specific thing that would actually help.

Why a sea otter

Sea otters hold hands while they sleep so the current doesn't pull them apart. Relationships drift for ordinary reasons: hormone shifts, stress, busy weeks, small misunderstandings that stack up. Otty is the hand-hold, a small daily reason to reach toward each other. It is also why our tagline is three words long: Never drift apart.

What we believe

Empathy first

Every feature and every word starts with how someone feels. If it doesn't feel warm, it doesn't go in the app.

Playful, on purpose

Cycle education matters, and it still doesn't have to feel like homework. If we can teach it with a pizza emoji, we will.

Zero judgment

No one should feel shame for not knowing something they were never taught. Otty meets you where you are and celebrates that you showed up.

Celebrate the small stuff

A text that says "thinking of you" counts. We don't wait for grand gestures to start cheering.

How we build it

A few product decisions follow from those beliefs, and we hold them even when they cost us the flashier feature.

Consent comes first. Sharing your cycle in Otty is invite-only: you decide whether to pair, you decide what your partner sees, and you can turn sharing off anytime in Settings. Our cycle sharing page walks through exactly what a partner sees and what they never see.

No chores, no report cards. Otty never hands out streaks, scores, or partner grades. It offers ideas; it doesn't assign homework. Missing a day changes nothing except that we're glad when you're back.

Your data stays yours. Cycle data is stored locally on your device by default, signing in is optional and exists for backup and pairing, and we never sell your data. We put it on every page of this site because we mean it: Otty is a relationship company, not a data company.

Who makes Otty

Otty is small and independent. The Otty Team designs the app, draws the doodles, writes the blog, and reads every review and every support email. Our health content follows a written editorial policy, and when we get something wrong we want to hear about it. You can reach a human at ottyteam@gmail.com or through the support page.

Our promise: when you open Otty, you leave feeling more confident, more connected, and more equipped to be the partner you want to be. We will never make you feel inadequate, overwhelmed, or judged.
Otty is on iPhone today. Free to download, works solo from day one, and ready whenever your partner is.
